Retired Dogs

and Older Puppies

At times, we have dogs that are ready to live out their days in a new setting. Maybe a slower lifestyle, or just a quieter household. When we have a dog that is ready to retire, we hold the same standards as our puppies when placing them. They have been loved members of our family, and we want the best for them in their later days.

We also may occasionally have an older puppy available. Why would an older puppy be available? So many reasons! MOst commonly, we will hold back one or two puppies to see how they develop, so we can get an idea of what our program is producing, and which one we want to move forward with. These are called “started Puppies”, and have had basic training while they are with us. This means they are crate trained, leash trained, taught basic commands such as “wait'“, “Sit”, “Down” among others. They have ridden in cars, and been socialized with people in our home and outside places as well.
